Details: In-house general legal counsel to lead a currently existing legal team that has recently had 2 in house attorneys and 2 paralegals. This multi-faceted conglomerate of companies has many entities with needs ranging from personal injury litigation, real estate transactions, contract disputes, tenant evictions, collections, and real estate development, and the municipality entitlement process. This job opening is available because the current in house lead legal counsel will soon no longer be practicing law, leaving only one in house attorney and no lead attorney. This position would primarily oversee all legal aspects of the company and represent the company in litigation situations in court and city government meetings. The experience does not have to be strong in evictions, collections, and perhaps the real estate transactions/development/city process because the other members of the legal team are strong in these areas. But litigation and court experience are essential to replace the position that will soon be vacated by the lead attorney.
